On Dec 12/09 I was involved in a great cause for giving back http://www.help-portrait.com/ in NYC we were able to do a series of portraits at Gilda’s club. Gilda’s Club http://www.gildasclubnyc.org/ is a support center for those directly or indirectly affected by cancer. It was named for Gilda Radner who was one of the original Saturday Night Live “not ready for prime time players” She passed away from Ovarian cancer in 1989 and in1991 the clubhouses were opened so people living with cancer, their friends and families, can meet to learn how to live with cancer.  Thanks to the help from Celeste Holt Walters and Audrie Lawrence, Evan Lee and Philip Mauro and James and all the people at Gilda’s for making this happen. Below are a few of the portraits I took.
